Who can Convert a Foreign Driving License into National one?

Some residents living in the UAE will not be required to undergo rigorous driving tests as they can easily change their driving license issued by their home country to that of the UAE’s.

The required documents to carry out the process include a translation of the foreign license in Arabic and a headshot among others.

There are around 50 countries whose citizens can swap or directly exchange their foreign valid driving license into UAE Driving license in the respective vehicle category of their home country driving license. The list includes most European Union Countries, North Emirates, Gulf, Asian Nations including but not limited to Japan and South Korea.

How to proceed?

We help to convert your foreign driving license in UAE driving license. The procedure is quite simple. If you have a valid driving license from your home country, you will simply have to send across to us the scanned copy of the same via whatsapp  along with the front side of your Emirates Id Card in order to transliterate the spellings of your name in Arabic as have been registered officially in your Emirates ID Card. After having accomplished the official translation in Arabic, you will simply have to visit the license issuing department at traffic authority in Abu Dhabi or in the Emirate of your visa issuing and request the sitting officials to swap in the UAE driving license after submission of certain other documents in addition to the official translation of the driving license.
